Mohali boy wins ‘Clean Air’ contest

Akshyae Singh, an 18-year-old student who crowd-sourced a video from friends and family in Mohali about air pollution in Punjab, has bagged the first prize in the ‘Clean Air Punjab Competition’ held recently.
According to a press note, Anvi Sadana of Amritsar, a Class VIII student, won the second prize and Avneet Kaur, a 15-year-old student from Kharar, stood third.
A ‘Clean Air Punjab’ storytelling workshop was conducted by letmebreathe.in, a community platform which documents and shares stories on environment and sustainability. Submissions were invited in three categories, including decoding the sources of pollution, people’s pollution stories and ‘pind di clean air’ innovation.
The competition saw participation by young start-up founders, climate activists as well as other citizens concerned. — TNS
