MS Dhoni is one of the biggest cricketing icons of India and enjoys a massive fan following across the length and breadth of the country. With the ongoing IPL 2023, the craze for the Chennai Super Kings’ captain is at its highest as there are rumours of this being the last season of the ‘Captain Cool’. Hence, fans are leaving no stone unturned to cheer for their ‘Thala’ and are turning up in huge numbers for every CSK game making the stadiums turn into a ‘Sea of Yellow’.

Recently, a die-hard MS Dhoni fan got the moment of his life as the former India captain waved at him from the CSK team bus. In the viral video, the fan could be seen chasing the CSK bus on his two-wheeler shouting “Thala! Thala!”. Seeing the frantic fan, Dhoni waved back and later gave him a thumbs up. Seeing his idol react, the fan continued to shout ecstatically having lived his dream.

The veteran wicketkeeper batter has looked at his vintage best this season as he’s scored 76 runs from seven innings at a thunderous strike rate of 200. Dhoni has been coming in to bat lower down the order and taking on the bowlers right from the word go making the crowd go berserk with his monstrous hits.

Apart from launching the ball into the crowd with his bat, the wicket-keeper has also worked his magic behind the stumps as he’s inflicted eight dismissals donning the wicketkeeping gloves. The ‘Captain Cool’ has also brought his astute leadership skills to the fore and led his side to six wins from 11 matches (ranked second on the points table).

MS Dhoni is the second most successful captain in the history of IPL, in terms of trophies won, having led Chennai to four IPL titles in 2010, 2011, 2018 and 2021 respectively.

CSK are once again looking in top form this season and seemingly one of the top contender for winning the trophy this year. The entire CSK squad will look to put up exceptional performances to win the title this year and give a winning farewell to Dhoni if he decides to retire at the end of the competition.
