2 hurt, 1 arrested after encounter with cops

One of their accomplices was arrested on the spot. SSP Abhimanyu Rana said the injured accused were identified as Arshdeep Singh, alias Gabbar, and Robinpreet Singh, residents of Chaudhriwala village. Karanpreet Singh of Chaudhriwala village was arrested by the police in the encounter.
The SSP said the Sarhali police had got information on the movement of the accused on a motor cycle in the area near Naushehra Pannuan. A police party was fired upon by the accused in the chase by the cops. In the retaliatory fire by the police, both accused Arshdeep Singh Gabbar and Robinpreet Singh, sustained bullet injuries and were taken for treatment.
The cops seized two .32 bore pistols, along with live cartridges and empty bullet shells, from their possession. The accused were booked under Section 308 (4), 3 (5) of the BNS and Section 25 of the Arms Act by the Sarhali police in this regard.
