Maqboolpura police have arrested three snatchers within 24 hours after they robbed a girl of her purse. Those arrested were identified as Harpreet Singh alias Mani, Harpreet Singh alias Honey, both residents of Ranjhe Di Haveli and Surinder Singh alias Shinda of Tahli Wala Chowk. The police recovered the purse, Rs 1,800 in cash and a scooter used in the crime.

Mandeep Kaur, the victim, told the police that she worked in a car agency near Taran Wala Pul. On Thursday, she was returning home in the evening when three scooter-borne persons snatched her purse.

A case was registered and the police scanned footage from CCTV cameras in the areas to identify the suspects. They were arrested and produced in court which sent them to police remand.
