Tarn Taran: Sunny Singh (30), a resident of Kajikot village, suffered injueries after a group of armed persons attacked him on Monday. The accused have been identified as Ballu, Sarwan Singh Gaggi, Roshi, Harjit Singh, Partap Singh, Avtar Singh, Hardev Singh, Malkit Singh and Balraj Singh, of the same village. The miscreants fired with illegal weapons to terrorise the villagers. Sunny has been admitted to a Amritsar-based hospital where he’s undergoing treatment. Jatinder Singh, uncle of the victim, told the police that Sunny was heading back home when the accused attacked him. He received serious injuries on his head. Assistant Sub-Inspector Harpal Singh (Investigating Officer) said raids were being conducted to nab the accused. A case has been registerd under Sections 307, 323,324, 341, 336, 148 and 149 of the IPC and Sections 25, 27, 54 and 59 of the Arms Act. OC
