The district police in its drive against the menace of drug peddling arrested 10 persons from different places on Tuesday who were involved in illegal trade. The police said six persons were arrested with 65 grams of heroin and four for consumption of the drug.

In another incident the Khalra police arrested two residents of Dhunn village with 300 litre of lahan. The Bhikhiwind police arrested one person of Sandhpur village with 11,250 ML of illicit liquor. Cases under the Excise Act were registered against both the accused. — OC
