Flanked by district BJP president Harvinder Singh Sandhu and Harjinder Singh Thekedar, Malik said that recently in April-May, the AAP government took a fresh loan of Rs 8,500 crore. He accused the AAP leaders coming from Delhi of creating an economic mess for Punjab.

He said that after losing in Delhi, Manish Sisodia has become the super chief minister of Punjab and was holding meetings of government officers without any constitutional right.

He alleged that after the formation of AAP government in Punjab, the drug mafia, sand mafia, land mafia, liquor mafia, terrorists, gangsters and anti-national elements were having a field day.

Malik said that all the promises made by AAP before the Punjab elections have turned out to be a bundle of lies. Neither did women get Rs 1,000 per month, nor was the old age pension increased to Rs 2,500. The promise of waiving farmers’ loans remains unfulfilled and instead of making electricity cheaper for traders and industrialists, the power tariff was increased several times. The Punjab government also imposed 0.25 per cent tax on taking a loan from the bank for the first time, besides making a false promise of free Wi-Fi facility and giving food to the poor for Rs 5 which remain unimplemented, he alleged.
