After delay, man booked for molesting teenage girl
After much delay, the Chabal police have booked a man who had allegedly molested a teenage girl at Mianpur village falling under the Chabal police station here.
The victim in her statement to Sub-Inspector Kiranpal Kaur stated that on the evening of March 7, she had gone to a chemist’s shop where the accused allegedly molested her.
The victim and her family had to make several rounds of the police station to get the case registered against the accused. A case under Section 75 of the BNS and Section 8 of the POCSO Act was registered against the suspect by the police on Wednesday.
The victim’s family expressed anguish over the delay in the registration of the case and not arresting the accused as yet.
