Prof Pawan Kumar informed that the Chair was established in January 2021. “The main objective of the Chair is to disseminate the ideas and thoughts of Dr BR Ambedkar and provide well-equipped centres of learning to intellectuals, academicians and students to undertake studies and research on Dr Ambedkar. We have published two books based on our research and it helped create a dedicated institutional mechanism within the university to preserve, study and disseminate Ambedkar’s legacy — important for academic, social and policy discourse,” he said.
