The Amritsar Municipal Corporation has received one more truck-mounted road sweeping machine for the Health Department to streamline the work of road sweeping in the city.

Deputy Commissioner Ghanshyam Thori, who also holds the additional charge of MC Commissioner, on Wednesday stated that it was the prime duty of the MC to provide all civic amenities to its citizens. For better road sweeping of all main roads of the city, the MC added one more truck-mounted road sweeping machine to its fleet and now five truck-mounted road sweeping machines will work on main roads along with four other small ones. Now, the MC has got nine road sweeping machines. The new truck-mounted road sweeping machine has been purchased at a cost of Rs 40.77 lakh.
