Amritsar MLA Kunwar Vijay Partap Singh’s wife passes away
Kunwar Vijay Partap Singh, former Inspector General and Amritsar (North) MLA, suffered a devastating loss as his wife, Madhumati (45), passed away on Saturday. She was rushed to the hospital on Friday after experiencing breathing difficulties, but unfortunately, her health deteriorated, and she breathed her last at 2.30 am today.
The cremation took place at Shivpuri Dham, Durgiana Temple, at 10;.30 am, with a large gathering of people from various walks of life, including prominent political leaders, paying their respects. Among those present were Amritsar MP Gurjit Singh Aujla, Cabinet Minister Harbhajan Singh, MLA Jeevan Jyot Kaur, and former Congress MLAs Raj Kumar Verka and Sunil Datti.
AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann expressed their heartfelt condolences on social media. Kejriwal stated, “Deeply saddened to hear about the untimely death of Amritsar MLA Kunwar Vijay Partap Singh’s wife... The entire AAP family stands with Kunwar ji in this hour of grief”. Mann added, “May God rest the departed soul in his feet... Heartfelt condolences to Kunwar’s family in this hour of sorrow.”
Madhumati is survived by her husband, Kunwar Vijay Partap Singh, and their two daughters.
