Amritsar Commissionerate Police have arrested eight people running a racket involved in making fake arms licence.

The police also recovered six fake arms licences, Aadhaar cards, seven pistols, revolvers, a double-barrel rifle and a laptop containing details of forged documents.

Initial information has been shared by Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav on X.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
