Amritsar Police have arrested four persons, including a juvenile, and seized 4.01kg of heroin, Rs 20,000 in drug money, and three bikes from their possession.

“In a major blow to trans-border smuggling, Commissionerate Police Amritsar apprehends 4 persons, including a juvenile to push drugs via Ferozepur sector, “said DGP Gaurav Yadav on X.

Investigations revealed that the juvenile also used boats to cross the Sutlej River to retrieve consignments from areas near the international border fencing, the DGP said.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
