The Nakodar Sadar police have booked a youth and his relative on charges of rape and criminal conspiracy. According to Investigating Officer (IO) Amandeep Kaur, the accused are Prince Singh and Parmindar Kaur, both residents of Sultan Wind Road Chungi in Amritsar.
The victim alleged that the accused contacted her on social media in 2022, promising to marry her. However, he allegedly raped her repeatedly, resulting in pregnancy. The accused later refused to marry the victim, allegedly on the advice of his aunt, and threatened her with dire consequences.

A case has been registered against the accused under Sections 69 (sexual intercourse by employing deceitful means), 61(2) (criminal conspiracy), and 351(2) (criminal intimidation) of the BNS.
