Three motor cycle-borne masked armed men fired at Ganesh Dairy on the local Goindwal Sahib bye pass on Monday and managed to fled away from the spot.

The proprietor of the dairy said that a gangster had demanded an extortion worth Rs 5 Lakhs from his and as he is unable to oblige the gangster he overlooked the demand of the gangster.

The activists of the gangster fired at him and he had a narrow escape. He said that on his complaint to the police he was provided security cover which was withdrawn soon after.

The police said him that the gangsters who demanded extortion from his have been arrested for which his security has been withdrawn.

The Deputy Superintendent of Police (City) said that a case under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Arms Act have been registered and the investigation has been launched in the technical and human intelligence method .
