The Army Force Corps (AFC) Jalandhar delivered a commanding 3-0 victory over Hockey Club Gaggarbhana in the opening match of the 47th Baba Pallaji Memorial Hockey Tournament, which began at Butala village on Sunday.

The three-day open tournament kicked off with AFC’s strong performance. Vishal Kumar, Gurpreet Singh and Sanjit Topo scored field goals for the winning team, while Gaggarbhana struggled to match the AFC’s pace and skill.

The second match saw a closely contested battle between Doaba XI and ITBP Jalandhar, with the ITBP team emerging victorious after a penalty stroke.
