The event was not just a commemoration — it was a heartfelt salute to the courage, sacrifices and unbreakable spirit of India’s soldiers.
The evening opened with a moving felicitation of war veterans and Veer Naris. As each veteran and Veer Nari was honoured, the hall resonated with gratitude and respect, reminding every one of the price of freedom and the strength of those who stand behind our soldiers.

A riveting martial arts display by Vipsy Kharadi showcased grit and discipline, while a specially curated audio-visual film on the 1965 war rekindled the collective memory of India’s heroic stand.
Emotions soared during 'Sangeet Samriti', the soulful musical tribute by Ameya Dabli. This was followed by an inspiring address by Gallantry Award winners, whose experiences of courage under fire left the youth deeply moved. The evening also echoed with the vibrant beats of fusion and jazz band performances and the stirring notes of the Army’s Pipe Band, blending tradition with modern rhythms.
The most poignant moment came with the felicitation of Gallantry Award winners. As their stories of bravery were recounted and honours bestowed, many eyes brimmed with tears of pride and the entire gathering rose in applause to salute their extraordinary service.
A senior Army spokesperson remarked, “Shaurya Sandhya was more than an event — it was a bridge between generations. It allowed our citizens, especially youth, to feel the courage of 1965, to meet the heroes who walked among us and to carry forward the legacy of valour and sacrifice that defines our nation.”
