Avail 10% rebate if property tax deposited by Sept 30: MC

The Municipal Corporation has appealed to residents to deposit their property tax by September 30 wherein taxpayers who make the payment before this date will get a 10 per cent rebate.

The Municipal Commissioner informed that special counters have been set up at the Head Office, Zonal Offices and Sewa Kendras (service centres) to collect property tax. The public has been requested to take full benefit of this facility.

The officials stated that these offices would remain open till September 30 to help people file their tax. The officials stated that the purpose behind keeping the offices open on public holidays is to enable people to get enough time to deposit their taxes.

The Municipal Corporation has also directed officials to ensure proper arrangements so that taxpayers do not face any problem while paying their dues. The MC said that cooperation of citizens is important and timely payment of taxes will help in carrying out works smoothly.
