Manpreet Kaur, a research scholar at Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU), has won the award for "Best Paper" at the 107th annual conference of the Indian Economic Association (IEA). The event was hosted at Maharishi Markandeshwar Deemed to be University (MMU), Ambala, from December 21 to 23.

Manpreet Kaur is pursuing her Ph.D at the Punjab School of Economics under the guidance of Dr Swati Mehta. Her award-winning paper is focused on the industrial dynamics of Ludhiana, a significant industrial hub in Punjab.
