Under ‘Punjab Da Tour 2020’, a bike tour, Jawa Nomads, was flagged off from Sadda Pind here on Wednesday. Passing through historical places in the state, a group of 30 bikers led by actor Gul Panag and singer Rabbi Shergill will conclude its journey in Chandigarh on March 8 after covering 1,250 km in six days and five nights.

Starting on a spiritual note, the bikers performed sewa at the Golden Temple in the morning and left for the Hussainiwala border in Ferozpur. They also stopped at Khem Karan, which is also known as graveyard of battle tanks, and returned to the Wagah-Attari border.

They spent some time with BSF jawans and paid tributes at the Attari border. They also unveiled a statue named as The Border Man, which is a tribute to bravehearts of paramilitary forces. “The Amritsar leg of the tour will include a ride to the Harike and visit to some of the most iconic food destinations of the state. Besides, the bikers will promote sports and heritage,” said Anupam Thareja, co-founder and director of Classics Legends Pvt Ltd. The bikers will visit Ludhiana, Nakodar, Jalandhar, Nangal Dam and Anandpur Sahib before arriving in Chandigarh.
