Tarn Taran, May 9

The district police claimed to have solved the murder mystery of Jugraj Singh (17) of Gharka village, who was killed nine months ago in his village, and arrested four persons in this connection

SSP Dhruman H Nimbale said here on Sunday that four persons of the same village, identified as Harmanpreet Singh Joban, Harmanpreet Singh Dana, Jashanjit Singh Jashan and Resham Singh, had been arrested by the Chohla Sahib police. On July 28, the victim, Jugraj Singh, went to fields for a morning run, but did not return home.

The next morning, family found his body in village fields with injury marks. The SSP said a case was registered on the statement of Balkar Singh, father of the victim.

The then SHO, Sub-Inspector Sonamdeep Kaur, investigated the murder but did not reach at a conclusion.

Later, SSP Nimbale handed over the case to DSP Ravisher Singh (PBI), who collected evidences and nominated four persons in the case.
