Block-level sports competitions held under ‘Khedan Watan Punjab Diyan’

Being conducted by the Sports Department in the second phase of the games, Sukhchain Singh, District Sports Officer, Amritsar, said sports competitions were conducted in a total of five games, including football, kabaddi national style and circle style, kho-kho, athletics, volleyball smashing and volleyball suiting.
Olympian Samsher Singh School Attari won first place and Akal Academy Basarke was second in Attari block in football. Around 200 players participated in these games.
In Rayya, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Club, Dhulka, won first place and Shaheed Darshan Singh Feruman School stood second in U-17 kho-kho.
In Verka, High School Daburji Lubana won first position and Bhagat Puran Singh Adarsh School stood second in U-17 volleyball. Bhagat Puran Singh School, Manawala, won the first place and Meritorious School, Amritsar, was second in the U-17 (girls) kho-kho. In boys’ category, the team of Meritorious School won first place and Millennium School was second.
Shaheed Bhagat Singh Sports Club stood first in the U-17 (girls) competition in kabaddi scroll style. While in the boys’ competition, the team of Meritorious School, Amritsar, got the first place and the team of Baba Deep Singh Sports Club, Amritsar, was second.
In Tarsikka block, Sri Guru Hargobind Senior Secondary School, Khajala, won the first position and Government Senior Secondary School stood second in U-17 (boys) kho-kho. Around 390 players participated in these games here.
In Jandiala Guru block, Subhjit Kaur of Sri Guru Arjan Dev School, Bandala, won first place, Kamalpreet Kaur and Mandeep Kaur of St Soldier School were second and third, respectively, in U-17 girls’ 200m race. In the boys’ category, Sartaj Jeet Singh of St Soldier’s School got the first place, Sukhdev Singh of Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib School was second and Anmoldeep Singh of Bearing School was third.
