In yet another drone-dropped smuggling attempt, alert troops of the Border Security Force (BSF) confiscated arms, ammunition and narcotics in two separate incidents along the Amritsar and Tarn Taran border belt.
A BSF spokesperson stated troops had received a tip-off regarding the presence of a suspicious packet in a harvested field in Rajatal border village. Upon inspection, BSF personnel recovered three pistols, six magazines, 97 live rounds and three fired cases. The consignment was wrapped in yellow adhesive tape and included a metal ring along with four illuminating stripes — clear indicators of drone-based smuggling.
