In another joint operation based on actionable intelligence shared with Punjab Police, two more smugglers were arrested at Kalanur in Gurdaspur. The teams seized two packets of heroin weighing 2.550 kg (gross) and a motorcycle. The accused, from Haruwal and Ajnala villages, are currently in police custody pending legal proceedings.

Continuing its coordinated crackdown, BSF troops along with Punjab Police launched a search near Wan village in Tarn Taran, leading to the recovery of a DJI Mavic 4 Pro drone believed to have been used for cross-border narcotics drops.

Punjab Police have initiated further legal action in all cases.
