Security personnel from the Punjab Police and BSF carried out an extensive search operation in the courtyard of a house adjacent to Wan village in district Tarn Taran on Sunday.

Security forces recovered a packet suspected to be of heroin (gross weight 554 grams) wrapped in yellow adhesive tape with an improvised copper wire loop attached to it. The successful operation was the result of reliable information and well-coordinated action by the BSF and Punjab Police, which helped defeat yet another attempt by the narco-syndicate to smuggle drugs into Punjab.
