Based on the information shared by the intelligence wing about a drone smuggling activity on the border area of Tarn Taran district, the Border Security Force (BSF) ambush party in collaboration with the Punjab Police conducted an operation in the suspected area in the early hours today.

The ambush party and the police, on hearing a dropping sound conducted an extensive search which culminated at about 1.05 pm with the recovery of one card board box containing 47 rounds of 7.63 mm calibre from a wheat field adjacent to Wan village in Tarn Taran district. The recovered packet was wrapped in a yellow adhesive tape with a copper wire loop attached to it, implying a possible case of drone dropping.
