Amritsar: Wood Blossom Junior School, Patti, celebrated its annual sports week for the kindergarten students, which concluded with an award ceremony on October 29. The sports meet had FS1 (Nursery); FS2 (LKG) and FS3 (UKG) students participating in various games, races, obstacle courses and play-based learning activities. The event started with a march past of primary students, along with their teachers. The students showcased a sports drill and dance that preceded the games. The winners were awarded in an award ceremony, following the event. Parents also participated in the meet with great enthusiasm. ‘Mom and me’ races was the highlight of the event. Directors Amanprit Kaur Mavi and Harkeerat Singh Mavi, and Principal Taniya Khurana presided over the event and honoured the winners.

Art exhibition organised

Amritsar: Doon International School, Amritsar organised its first-ever art exhibition. In this exhibition, classrooms were transformed into various states of India, showcasing their unique cultures, art forms and historical places. The exhibition showcased an ideal amalgamation of academic and co-curricular activities, emphasising the integration of project-based learning. The students explored the culture, traditional dances and local crafts of different states, besides giving a unique experience to the visitors.

Freshers’ Party held

Amritsar: Khalsa College of Engineering and Technology (KCET), Ranjit Avenue, hosted a vibrant freshers' party to welcome the new batch. The event began with a soulful hymn recitation, followed by ceremonial lamp lighting, symbolising the dispelling of ignorance and the ushering of knowledge. Students with their song and dance performances captivated the audience with their energy and enthusiasm. Director Dr Manju Bala expressed her heartfelt wishes to the new students, emphasising the importance of this new phase in their lives. Aastha Kesar was crowned Ms Fresher, while Gopal Sharma received the title of Mr Fresher. The title of Ms Charming was awarded to Prachi Jandial, while Mr Handsome went to Jaskirat Singh.
