Amritsar: Rajwant Maya of Class XI recently won the first position in the state-level table tennis competition that was held at SL Bhawans School, where several players from different schools participated. She has also been selected for the national-level competitions. Expressing her happiness over her success, principal Anchal Mahajan congratulated Rajwant, her parents and the coach for their efforts.

Cricket match at GNDU

Amritsar: The Guru Nanak Dev University’s department of education organised its first annual cricket match to foster the sense of healthy competition among students of the department. Prof Amit Kauts, department head, inaugurated the match. Prof Deepa Sikand Kauts, dean (faculty of education) conferred the title of ‘Man of the Match’ and announced the winner team trophy at the conclusion of the event. The man of the match title was bagged by Rahul Singh, a student of BSc-BEd (ITEP-Sem I). Students of BCom-BEd (ITEP-Sem I) won the match.
