Campus notes: BBK DAV Principal honoured

Amritsar: Principal Dr Pushpinder Walia of BBK DAV College for Women, Amritsar, was honoured with a special recognition award by Shaheed Bhagat Singh Boxing Club, Amritsar, on the occasion of National Sports Day and the birth anniversary of India’s hockey legend Major Dhyan Chand. The award was given in recognition of her outstanding contribution to both academics and sports. Baldev Raj, president, and Gurmeet Singh Sandhu, sports promoter and PRO, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Boxing Club, Sweety Bala, head, Department of Physical Education, Dr Amandeep Kaur, Savita Kumari and Gargi, Department of Physical Education, congratulated Dr Walia on this glorious achievement.

Session on new traffic rules held

Amritsar: The Traffic Cell Education, Amritsar, organised a session on the new traffic rules on the premises of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan SL Public School on August 30. All the guests were honoured by senior faculty members along with secondary students with a token of reverence. In the session, SI Daljit Singh, head constable Salwant Singh and lady constable Lovepreet Kaur were present to address the students and apprised them of the implementation of the new traffic rules.
