Amritsar: The Chief Khalsa Diwan (CKD) organised a memorial service to mark the martyrdom of four Sahibzadas at Sri Guru Harkrishan Public School, GT Road. A light and sound show, ‘Wah Pargatio Mard Agamra’, dedicated to the unparalleled martyrdom of Mata Gujar Kaur and the four Sahibzadas was organised where Dr Inderbir Singh Nijjar, president of Chief Khalsa Diwan, attended as the chief guest. Directed by Narinder Sanghi, this ‘Light and Sound’ show depicted the life story of Sri Guru Gobind Singh, the tortured black nights of Mata Gujar Kaur, the Jang-e-Maidan performed by the elder Sahibzadas, Baba Ajit Singh and Baba Jujhar Singh. Dr Inderbir Singh Nijjar urged the students to be proud of the martyrdom-filled history and heritage of the Sikh community and to instill in them the pride, self-respect and religion of the four Sahibzadas. He hoped that the lively presentation of Sikh history on stage by the students would put the Guru’s teachings into practice. It will prove to be more helpful and effective in giving shape to his ideals.
