Cancer survivors walk the ramp alongside doctors

Symbolising victory, confidence and the celebration of life, cancer survivors walked the ramp alongside their doctors during the Pink Warriors Meet organised by Livasa Hospital here. The event, held to mark the Breast Cancer Awareness Month, honoured the strength, resilience and inspiring journey of breast cancer survivors, fondly called, the "Pink Warriors." It brought together survivors, healthcare professionals, caregivers and members of the community in a powerful display of unity and hope.

The programme aimed to highlight the importance of early detection, timely treatment and emotional recovery. Through personal stories of survival, participants sought to inspire others currently fighting the disease, showing that breast cancer is not the end, but the beginning of a renewed journey of strength and faith.

Among those present were members of the Livasa oncology team, including Dr Jatin Sarin, Director, Medical Oncology; Dr Vijay Bansal, Director, Surgical Oncology; Dr Meenakshi Mittal, Director, Radiation Oncology; Dr Shubh Mahindru, Director, Surgical Oncology; Dr Privanshu Choudhary, Senior Consultant, Medical Oncology; and Dr Parneet Singh, Senior Consultant, Radiation Oncology.

Sharing her emotional story, Nisha (name changed) said, "Today's event is a celebration for individuals like me who have triumphed over cancer. It gives strength to those newly diagnosed, reminding them that courage and faith can conquer fear."

Another survivor, Pooja (name changed), reflected, "The human spirit is stronger than anything that can happen to it. I have learned that when you feed your faith, your fears starve to death. I am forever grateful to my doctors and family who stood by me."

Summing up the spirit of the event, one participant said, "The important thing is not how many years are in your life, but how much life is in your years. Once you choose hope, anything is possible."
