The Central Bank of India, Regional Office, Amritsar, along with all its 47 branches, marked its Founder’s Day on Friday, commemorating the birth anniversary of the bank’s founder, Sorabji Pochkhanawala. The programme aimed to honour his ideals, vision, values and notable contribution to the banking sector.

At the Regional Office, the celebrations began with regional head Saqib Ahmed Khan offering floral tributes and lighting a ceremonial lamp before the founder’s portrait.

Employees also undertook a tree plantation drive under the campaign “One Tree in Mother’s Name”. Staff from the Regional Office and all branches each planted a sapling in honour of their mother.
