Renowned plastic surgeon Dr Ravi Kumar Mahajan has been elected as the vice-president of the Indian Society of Cleft Lip, Palate and Craniofacial Anomalies (ISCLP&CA) during a conference held at Bombay Hospital, Mumbai, recently.

Dr Mahajan, a renowned name in the field of reconstructive surgery, will assume the role of president of the Society in the next term. The Society has also announced that the National Cleft Congress will be hosted in Amritsar in 2027.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Ravi Kumar Mahajan expressed his gratitude and shared his vision. “I look forward to advancing collaborative cleft care, research and training across India.”

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.

The Tribune, the largest selling English daily in North India, publishes news and views without any bias or prejudice of any kind. Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language and partisanship, are the hallmarks of the newspaper. It is an independent newspaper in the real sense of the term.

The Tribune has two sister publications, Punjabi Tribune (in Punjabi) and Dainik Tribune (in Hindi).
