A meeting to assess the progress and challenges in the implementation of the PM SVANidhi scheme was held here today under the chairmanship of Municipal Commissioner Gulpreet Singh Aulakh.

The meeting witnessed active participation from officials of banks and the Municipal Corporation.

During the meeting, the MC chief emphasised on expediting the disbursement process under the PM SVANidhi scheme, to provide financial support to street vendors. Bank officials were instructed to clear all pending disbursement cases promptly to ensure timely assistance to the beneficiaries. In his remarks, the MC Commissioner urged the banking officials to address bottlenecks in processing applications and emphasised a collaborative approach to meet targets. He highlighted the need for ensuring that eligible vendors receive the intended benefits without unnecessary delay.
