The Chief Khalsa Diwan (CKD) headed by AAP MLA Dr Inderbir Singh Nijjar has terminated the membership of Bikram Majitha’s father Satyajit Singh Majithia, citing his absence in meetings.

Sources in the over a century-old Sikh body, which runs a number of educational institutions, said the name of Satyajit Majithia figured in the list of 65 members whose membership was terminated in March. It only happens that the decision came out in public at this juncture.

As per the norms of the CKD, membership of locals who do not take part in 12 meetings, stands annulled; within Punjab, the membership is terminated after absence in 15 meetings, and for those out of Punjab, the membership is terminated for not taking part in 18 meetings.
