Sources say a group of people attacked a person, Roop Singh, after he stopped tippers and trucks laden with mining material from trespassing his private property near Akhwara village.

“He was attacked with swords. Both of his legs have been broken. We have identified the miscreants and formed teams to nab them,” said a police officer. The SSP said it was not a case of illegal mining since tippers and trucks were bringing mining material from a legal mining pit. A case has been registered.
