Amritsar: Dhyan Singh Mand, parallel officiating Jathedar of the Akal Takht lodged a complaint against Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday for hurting the Sikh sentiments. Mand was here with his supporters. He said the PM had attempted to describe the Sikh community as part of Hindus and expressed it from public dais during the Ram Mandir foundation ceremony at Ayodhya.

“The PM had mentioned in his speech that Ramayan was authored by Guru Gobind Singh, which is factually wrong and has hurt the Sikh sentiments,” he said. Mand said the Sikh Sangat, including the preachers, organisations, local gurdwara managements and individuals from all over the globe had also been directed to lodge a similar complaint in their respective police stations.
