Tarn Taran, July 31
The SAD (A) would rely on issues like Sidhu Moose Wala, Deep Sidhu, Hardeep Nijjar and Paramjit Singh Panjwar as its poll plank in Punjab. Party leader Simranjit Singh Mann, a former MP, said this while addressing media persons at the local Dharamshala Gandhan on Tuesday. Mann called for early elections of the SGPC. He said that the role of the Union and that of the state government would be shared with the public and accused former CM Parkash Singh Badal and Deputy CM Sukhbir Singh Badal of corrupt practices during their reign. He also described the Congress as a party with a dual face.
Mann said that Congress MP from Jalandhar Charanjit Singh Channi Congress had taken up the issue of jailed Waris Punjab De leader Amritpal Singh in parliament to which the party’s national leader Ram Naresh Kumar had reacted by stating that it was his personal view. The SAD (A) leader cautioned against atrocities on Sikhs and also called for the opening of Wagah border for trade with Pakistan.
