Powercom sends misleading message

Instead of rectifying the complaint of Gurpreet Singh, a resident of Sultanwind village, complaint, staff of the Punjab State Power Corporation Limited misled him by sending text messages that the complaint has been resolved. But power supply was not restored even after 11 hours of snag.

Gurpreet Singh, a resident of Sultanwind village, filed a complaint on PSPCL’s mobile application on 12.20 am. He complained that the three-phase wire supplying power to meter boxes had burnt, due to which power supply to 28 houses had been affected. This morning, he got a text message from PSPCL that power supply has been restored at 4 am.

The complainant said, “It is sad that instead of rectifying the fault, the PSPCL staff kept misleading them. I called officer concerned at the Mall Mandi subdivision and informed him of the fault in the supply line. He asked me to file a complaint on the PSPCL mobile app, following which a complaint number would generate and then they will visit the spot. I filed a complaint on the mobile app, but no one from PSPCL visited the spot.”
