Cross-border smuggling module busted, 3 held

Those arrested included Aprildeep Singh, alias Babbu, Gurlal Singh, alias Pannu, and Balraj Singh, all residents of Rajoke border village.
DSP Gurinderpal Singh Nagra said as per a preliminary probe, the weapons were smuggled from Pakistan via drones.
“The accused were in contact with Pakistan-based smugglers through WhatsApp and other social media platforms,” he said. He said duo was produced in a court, which sent them to police custody.
The police sent their mobile phones for forensic examination, which would help in identifying backward and forward linkages.
