Addressing a press conference, party president Harpal Singh Cheema said those who arrest or help in arresting Saini would be awarded with gold medal.

He said to restore the rule of law in the state, it was imperative that those who break the law in uniform should be brought to justice for their crimes. Saini, convicted in the Balwant Singh Multani murder case, has been in hiding for the past few days to evade arrest.

Harcharanjit Singh Dhami and Kanwarpal Singh said that the High Court had dismissed Saini’s petition and paved the way for the police to arrest him. — TNS
