Deputy Commissioner Kulwant Singh unfurled the national flag at the district-level function organised at local Sri Guru Harkrishan Public School on the occasion of 72nd Republic Day. He also took salute from the march past by contingents of the police. Harpreet Kaur Randhawa, District and Sessions Judge; SSP Dhruman H Nimbale; local MLA Dr Dharambeer Agnihotri were among the others who attended the function. The Deputy Commissioner in his address highlighted the welfare schemes of the state government and also gave details of the development works being done by the government. The developments works of different departments were highlighted by way of displaying tableau on the occasion. Families of the freedom fighters and mothers of newborn female kids under the Balri Rakshak Yogana were honoured on the occasion. Try cycles and sewing machines were given to the needy ones.
