Amritsar, July 31
The Red Cross Society in association with Baba Deep Singh Nishkam Jal Sewa Society, an NGO, and the EMC Hospital here today launched ‘Saanjhi Rasoi’ (common kitchen) for the needy commuters and poor at the local inter-state bus terminal here.
DC Ghansham Thori inaugurated it while informing that healthy food would be provided at Rs 10 per plate in the afternoon. He said the nutritious and healthy food would be provided to commuters, labourers and other needy people. This included cooked pulses, vegetables, rice and chapati. — TNS
