A day after the demonstration by the BRTS employees, Amritsar MC Commissioner Harpreet Singh on Tuesday said that the Metro bus service was being operated on the BRTS route in the holy city before its suspension in July last year. Now, the service will be restored soon for which a decision is being taken by the Punjab Government.

MC Commissioner Harpreet Singh said the Metro bus service was a boon for daily commuters, especially students. The Metro bus service had employed hundreds of people. A project has been prepared and sent to the government by the Amritsar Municipal Corporation to run the bus service in a better manner. — TNS
