Amritsar: A tourist couple from Delhi was robbed by unknown snatchers in the Galliara area here on late Tuesday evening. Pritpal Singh, a resident of Ramesh Nagar in New Delhi along with his family had come to pay obeisance at Golden Temple and other religious places in the holy city. He told the police that on Tuesday late evening after having dinner, they were to NRI Singhpur Saran in Galliara in an auto-rickshaw when two motorcycle-borne persons snatched purse of his wife. It contained Rs 50,000 cash, a mobile phone, besides other valuables. The police have registered a case under Section 379-B of the IPC against unidentified persons while further investigations were under progress. TNS
