Dr Maninder Kaur, assistant professor, University of Alabama at Birmingham, on Saturday addressed a gathering of dental experts during a ‘continuing dental education’ session organised by the Sri Guru Ram Das(SGRD) Institute of Dental Sciences and Research here.

As a key speaker during the conference, she discussed her research on bone augmentation techniques at edentulous sites for future implant replacement. An alumnus of the college, who now has publications in at least eight journals of international repute, Dr Maninder exhorted dentistry practitioners to keep them update on the latest advances in the field so as to provide better services to their patients. Sharing lighter moments from her days at the SGRD College, she urged students to work hard for the betterment of mankind.
