Thousands of devotees paid obeisance at the Golden Temple to mark the dawn of 2022 on Saturday.

Braving the chill and fog, thousands of devotees thronged the shrine in the early hours. Officials of SGPC said serpentine queues were visible throughout the day. Inns, lodges, guest houses and hotels in the vicinity registered 100 per cent occupancy.

To mark the occasion, the SGPC in collaboration with Guru Nanak Khalsa College, Mumbai, held a free Covid-19 vaccination camp at the entrance plaza. SGPC chief Harjinder Singh Dhami inaugurated the camp in which 2,000 vaccines were administered.
