Cold weather could not hold back a large number of people thronging to watch light and sound shows dedicated to Sikhism founder Guru Nanak Dev on Sunday. The 550th birth anniversary celebrations of Guru Nanak Dev are being held throughout the year.

The show showcased the life and philosophy of Guru Nanak Dev. The event was attended by Cabinet Minister OP Soni and other prominent people across the district. Soni said the shows would disseminate the message of the first Sikh guru among youth.

The show highlighted the message of strengthening the ethos of communal harmony, peace, brotherhood, compassion and humanity as preached by Guru Nanak Dev. Guru Nanak Dev’s efforts to promote social equality were aptly showcased in right letter and spirit.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Himanshu Agarwal sid the light and sound shows would continue till Monday and encouraged everyone to watch these.
