On the directions of Kanwaljit Singh Bajwa, District and Sessions Judge and Shilpa, Chief Judicial Magistrate-cum-Secretary, District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), an awareness unit has been established in Tarn Taran to ensure justice and free legal aid to the general public.

District and Sessions Judge Kanwaljit Singh Bajwa said that the main aim behind setting up the awareness unit is to provide information about legal services in collaboration with local government institutions such as Panchayat, Nagar Council etc and for this purpose, places like Panchayat Ghar, schools and dispensaries will be used, so that everyone can access justice and no one is deprived of their legal rights.
