Tarn Taran: Unable to bear the harassment for dowry by her husband, Kiranpreet Kaur (19) of Algon Kalan (Valtoha) village has lodged a complaint against her husband, Gurwinder Singh, a resident of Sursing village over torturing her for dowry. The victim was married to the accused just six months ago. She alleged that the accused started torturing her for dowry and to bring more and more cash from her parents. The accused had been booked under the IPC. — OC

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
